The Farm at San Benito Flourishes Under CG Hospitality

It’s been nearly a year since CG Hospitality took over The Farm and in a span of ten months, a lot has happened. While there have been improvements made, there’s still a lot in the pipeline that guests can expect from the much sought-after sanctuary in the coming months. The Farm at San Benito is an eco-luxury holistic medical wellness resort located in Lipa, Batangas. Since its establishment in 2002, The Farm has been among the top destinations for travelers looking for a perfect holiday destination that combines science and holistic wellness in a transformative retreat. With the acquisition by CG Hospitality last October, The Farm has continued to deliver on their promise of a better quality of life through their wellness journeys carefully put together by internationally –trained integrative medical doctors, nurses, spa therapists, nutritionists, living food experts, fitness coaches and yoga teachers.

CG Corp Global

CG Hospitality, with its nearly 130 hotels and resorts with 6507 keys in 11 countries and 87 destinations with a vision to reach 200 hotels in 2020.  CG Hospitality is just one of the successful business verticals under CG Corp Global, which has a fascinating history itself. It started as a humble shop that imported fabrics from India to Nepal in the 1900s.  From fabric trade, it slowly branched out to other areas like construction and electronics. Now, CG Corp Global is a transnational conglomerate that has 76 brands, 122 companies, and with a presence in over 30 countries.

Binod Chaudhary, the man at the helm of CG Corp Global, has always been a risk-taker. One would not describe the third-generation owner as “reckless” though. If anything, it was his determination and faith that made him get this far. He established Wai Wai after identifying the potential market for instant noodles. Now, he has 2.4% of the world’s shares in the noodle market and is known as the “noodle king.” Going against the odds, he went and did business in Nepal, emerging as the only billionaire from the Himalayan Republic, as listed by Forbes.

Other than the hospitality industry, he also runs other business verticals in various industries such as education, electronics, finance, and telecommunications, to name just a few. He also gives back through the Chaudhary Foundation in Nepal, which focuses on various aspects like education and health. Other than managing the multi-dimensional conglomerate, he also enjoys trekking and is a fitness enthusiast. It is easy to see how The Farm at San Benito came under his radar, and the rest is history.

Upgrades and Expansions

But history is not finished yet. Currently, The Farm at San Benito is undergoing several upgrades and expansions. The first phase, which is the construction of 30 villas, is underway with 12 villas already in progress and 18 more to be built next year. An additional 30-40 villas are expected for the second phase of the expansion. The Farm has also collaborated with Cigna Health Care through Living Life Well and European Wellness to improve the services and further address the serious lifestyle illnesses predominant today. There were 16 new programs launched this year, among them are holistic solutions and proven therapies to slow down ageing, treating and preventing chronic health disorders, and pain management and mental health management without the need for pharmaceutical drugs.

On the subject of nutrition, The Farm’s Alive! Restaurant has never failed to provide mouthwatering vegan dishes to the guests. For more options, Pesce Restaurant will be launched this July, this time adding fish to the menu. The Farm is also adding residential villas and expanding to real estate. Following an eco-sustainable concept, The Farm Residences is expected to be available in the market in 2020. In addition, there are also plans for a retirement community home in the future. The Farm is also expected to have locations in other countries in Asia and Europe.

There are certain challenges that arise whenever there’s new management, and with these, certain questions about the direction of the company. With The Farm’s case, it is certain that the philosophy of health and wellbeing remains the same, and that people who are looking for the perfect vacation can expect nothing but improvements from this time forward. And with future expansions, who knows? You may not need to travel that far to embark on your journey to wellness.
